What a whirlwind! The Bellevue District Science Fair was Wednesday, January 21 and we have been working hard to complete science projects to enter into the fair.
Students formed small groups and chose an area to investigate with an experiment. In all there were about 10 different projects. We were in quite a time crunch so everyone was expected to perform their experiment on the same day! The classroom was not a pretty site after having 10 science experiments happening at one time, and I don't even want to get into what I looked like after (imagine me being cut into a million different pieces on the floor). BUT, we did it, and the science boards that were created to show the students' thinking ended up looking even better than I imagined.
Here are a few examples:

The experiments were displayed in the Taylor Mountain Multi-purpose Room along with the experiments from students across the school district and were judged based off of different categories. I'm excited to announce that two of the projects from our class came in 3rd place across the district in their different categories, respectively.
Here are the winners!

Congratulations to our classroom winners and everyone else who participated in the Science Fair!
